SCMS Tutorial

The SCMS application is a simple desktop demonstrator program. Use of the program is demonstrated by evaluating the pipeline document included with the SCMS distribution.

Start the xproc.exe application.
Open the pipeline document.
Run the pipeline.
Messages are displayed in the log window.

Note

Errors are displayed in this screenshot, since FOPis not installed on the demo machine. The program invokes the command line fop source.foresult.pdf.

Note that the explorer view shows that the HTML product has been created. Also, although the demo application keeps intermediate build products in memory, the FO file has been saved to disk so that FOP can run as an external process.
